It was out of these passionate conversations that I began to seek out answers not to his questions but mine.
Today is number one.
1 Samuel 17:1-13 Give me a Man
Vs 1 Men were met in a battle
Vs 2 Saul and His men got ready to fight
Vs 3 Every man got in their place
Vs 4 the Philistines had a Champion
Vs 5-7 He
was well outfitted and Prepared
Vs 8 A Challenge was Called
Choose a
MAN to fight
Vs
9 The Loser Serves the Winner
Vs 10 GIVE ME A MAN
Vs 11 The Men of Israel were Broke down and Greatly afraid
Men are always in some kind of fight, and we always think
that we are ready for it.
We will even prepare ourselves in our thoughts on how we are
going to fight.
And then we see the enemy, He looks strong but we feel
confident
Until we hear what He has to say.
Some men right here step back (They are already a Slave to
the enemy)
Some men right here start thinking (What would be best for
me here? How do I get out of this with some of my manhood intact but without
causing harm to me or mine? Can I beat Him?)
But when it comes down to it, most men are afraid of a
fight.
Couple of Questions
If Goliath was looking for a man and no man steps up, what
does that make us?
What is a
man who steps back from a fight? Is he a Man?
What is a
man who seeks to manipulate the situation for His safety?
Is He a man?
What is a
man who starts questioning IF he can win or not? Is He a man?
And where in my life am I doing these things?
What am I stepping back from?
What am I seeking to Manipulate?
What have I started to Question?
What do I step up to?
What do I need to stop Manipulating?
What do I need to stop Questioning?
You don't have to be a man to answer these questions, but as you begin to answer them, prepare to repent as they will only reveal weakness that is keeping us from being what God has called us to be.
