He Ain't Heavy

1 Samuel 17:17-18 (KJV)  And Jesse said unto David his son, Take now for thy brethren an ephah of this parched corn, and these ten loaves, and run to the camp to thy brethren; 18 And carry these ten cheeses unto the captain of their thousand, and look how thy brethren fare, and take their pledge.

The Respected Father to the Responsible Son (summery)

Bring food to your brothers in Battle
Also bring ten Cheeses to their commander to enlist His favor
See if your Brothers are doing well
Bring evidence back that they are Ok

What is God saying to me today?

Who are my brothers in Battle?

What are their Fears?

Are they facing a Giant?
Are they feeling Fearful of failure?
Where should they step up in faith and where should they step out?

What are their needs?

Are they hungry and in need of food?
            Physically/Spiritually

Ten Cheeses to their commander to enlist His favor
If God is our commander, Prayer enlists His favor
                     What should I pray?

See if their well.
This is a personal call to check on them
            To personally communicate with them

Bring some token from them
In our passage this means a lock of hair or clip of a nail (something personal)

God wants them to be honest with me so that I can pray with clarity to Him about their needs.
I need to have something sure from them to bring to God

He/she is my brother, how is God calling me to care for them today?

Love you guys
